Adventures Of Brian May -3

Adventures Of Brian May -3

I told her my story and she explained her reason behind hating guys.
Apparently she was raped when she was 12 by unknown men and ever since she had trained herself from further assault using self defense.
So that explains her swiftness with counter attacking those guys earlier.
Sweet 😏😏😏

We kept on walking for hours until we arrived at an uncompleted building πŸŒ‡.
“This is where I stay, I hope you can cope. I can’t stand knowing a little girl like you is out there homeless.”
“Awwwwn thank you very much.I don’t care how it looks like as long as I have a shelter over my head.”
She looked relieved.
“Coming from a rich kid, I’d say you really surprised me.”
I’d say I surprised even myself but I kept the thought to myself and just said, “One shouldn’t judge a book by it’s cover you know.”
She nodded her head in approval before going over to one of the rooms so I guess I had to follow.
Judging from the looks of the room I guessed it was where she slept and did her personal stuffs.
We both got settled down then had dinner which she had bought on the way from a local cafeteria popularly known as ‘Mama Put’ then.
We had to share a mattress which was okay by me because I hadn’t even slept on anything that resembled a mat for the past two weeks not to talk of a mattress.

Next morning, we went out to fetch water πŸ’§ πŸ’§ πŸ’§ from a nearby community tap.
We met tons of people already queued up but as soon as we moved closer and they saw us or should I say her ,they moved aside for us to fetch our water.
Instead of asking questions I went with the flow, got my share of water into my keg after her then we left.
It seemed as if they were afraid of her or something.
I didn’t want to believe that because she was so sweet to me but heck, I’d seen her wreck over two guys in the last 24 hoursπŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹.
As soon as we were finished with our business and settled down for the day I asked her why the crowd parted ways for her.
“Let’s just say I have made quite an impression on the people around here.”
The “impression” in her reply weighed much more than she was letting on but I didn’t push it.

Since I was about to get into secondary school and there was no way I could attend it due to lack of funds, she decided to take it upon herself to teach me the necessary things I was supposed to know.
It was easy for her since she had finished secondary school and was a guru πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‰.
Not only did she teach me school stuffs, I convinced her to teach me how to defend myself too 😏😏.
She taught me everything she knew and by the end of that month, I could make a man unconscious with my bare fingers πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹.
How we survived?
She sold pure water during the day while I helped her with selling fruits, we both got our supplies daily from a woman down the street where we lived. She owned a fruit stall and sold pure water too.
At the end of each day’s sales we accounted for it and each gave her 60% of the money we made.
If you think selling those things were easy, think again πŸ˜’πŸ˜’.
Some days we had to compete with other kids selling the same goods, running after cars and buses while on other days like Sunday there was little or no sale at all.
Still, we tried to survive.
Arinola had some permanent customers already so it was pretty easy.

Every morning she taught me before we started the day’s work.
Then at evenings we usually took strolls around the area.
Seems the guys there were her victims one way or the other because they didn’t dare approach us whereas I’d seen them harass other girls.
I thanked God everyday for bringing her into my life.
If she hadn’t been on her usual strolls that particular evening, my story wouldn’t be the same as this.

1 year
2 years
3 years
Our lives were going smoothly except for the irregular bad periods we sometimes went through.
I was 13 already.
She was 19.
By then, I could compete with SS3 students confidently all thanks to her😝😝😝.
